Angie's Bedtime Hibiscus Tea

This week on Angie Doesn't Get Enough Sleep...

Over here living that natural life and playing around with nature's medicine -- herbs. I have been drinking so much of Starbuck's Iced Passion Tea lately, and I've clearly been obsessed with the taste of fruity and tart tea. So I thought I would listen to my cravings and put it into a more beneficial tonic form.

Another week has gone by and each night I struggle to unwind before bed. This week, I decided to put a stop to that racing brain syndrome and just unplug from work and projects, read a book, light some incense and drink some sleepy time tea tonics.

Well, I may or may not have (I definitely did) perfect my Bedtime Hibiscus Tea. I love the tart flavour, and adding a 1/2 tsp of honey really sweetens it up and if its raw buckwheat honey, it also will help with the sleepiness.

Angie's Bedtime Hibiscus Tea:

2 tsbp camomile
2 tbsp hibiscus
1 tbsp lemon Verbena
1 tbsp passion Flower

Mix ingredients in a bowl, take 1 tsp of mixture and steep in 1 cup boiled water. Let steep for 5 - 7 minutes. Drink tea, relax, go to bed.

If any of you try this one out, let me know in the comments how you liked it!
